Uttarakhand: Disaster Control authority's negligence towards safety of pilgrims in Chardham Yatra

The Disaster Control Authority is not at all concerned about the safety and security of pilgrims in Chardham yatra in Dehradun. According to reports, only three employees are currently working in the Disaster Control Room. All officers, including Disaster Control Room In charge, are on leave. Chardham Yatra is an annual pilgrimage in Uttarakhand. Every year it starts on the auspicious occasion of Aksha Tritiya, with the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines thrown open to devotees amid elaborate rituals and chanting of Vedic hymns.
