Watch: Protest over death of ITI student turns violent in Karnal

Clashes erupted in Karnal on Friday after a 20-year-old student was mowed down by a Haryana Roadways State Transport bus at ITI Chowk. The state police used batons and tear gas to disperse protesting students, who allegedly indulged in stone-pelting to protest the death of the student. Police said the students were protesting the death of the student of an Industrial Training Institute, who came under the wheels of a bus on Thursday when he was trying to board it.
