Water crisis deepens in Maharashtra’s Budhana, 55 dams run dry

A threat of drought looms large over half-dozen districts in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra due to deficient rainfall. The drought condition in Budhana grew grim as 210 villages in the district are facing severe water shortage. However, 210 water tankers are pressed into service, still, the service is not sufficient.
