Yogi Adityanath meets PM Modi amid complaints of discrimination by Dalit MPs
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi amidst complaints by some BJP Dalit MPs that their problems are being ignored by the state government. Several Dalit MPs from the party have dashed letter to PM Modi accusing the BJP government of discrimination. "I met the CM twice with my problems but failed to get any relief. Rather I was scolded and thrown out," Robertsganj MP Chotey Lal Kharwar wrote in his letter. According to sources, the two are also learnt to have discussed the bypoll to the Kairana Lok Sabha seat, which fell vacant due to the demise of BJP member Hukum Singh in February.
