Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej is celebrated on the third lunar day of the bright fortnight. This year, it will be observed on 18th April. Akshaya Tritiya is a Sanskrit term in which Akshaya means no decay and Tritiya means third. This day is believed to bring good fortune to one's life and most of the people begin their good work on Akshay Tritiya. People generally buy properties, jewellery and invest on this day. Tritiya tithi will begin at 3:45 am on 18th April and end at 01:29 am on 19th April. Muhurat to buy gold is between 06:07 am to 12:26 pm.
