Clashes break out between workers of TDP, YSR Congress in Puthalapattu

Clashes broke out between workers of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress at various places in Andhra Pradesh’s Puthalapattu Constituency. Police have to resort to lathi-charge to control the situation. The high-stake political battle to choose the 17th Lok Sabha began on Thursday with 91 constituencies going to polls in the first phase of voting. Other than Lok Sabha seats, voting for Assembly polls will also be held in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and the first phase of Odisha.
