Gen VP Malik stopped Vajpayee to politicise ‘Kargil War’: Chaturvedi

Alleging BJP for dragging armed forces in politics, Congress leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said that the NDA tried to take political mileage of Kargil War. “Ex-General VP Malik in his book ‘Kargil: A Surprise Victory’ mentioned that he registered his strong reservation to then PM Atal Bihar Vajpayee over politicisation of armed forces during polls,†she said. Chaturvedi held a press conference over veterans’ letter to President Ram Nath Kovid to stop the politicisation of armed forces in polls 2019.
