Names in and out: An analysis of BJP’s first list of candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its first list of 184 candidates on Thursday. BJP's highest decision-making body Central Election Committee (CEC), met on Wednesday on the selection of candidates. This was the third meeting in the last six days. The most surprising factor of the list was the missing of the name of party patriarch Lal Krishn Advani’s name. Now, the sword is hanging over the name of another senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi.
