SC directs EC to increase VVPAT from 1 to 5 EVMs per constituency

The Supreme Court directed the Election Commission to increase the numbers of Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail slips from one to five electronic voting machines in every constituency. The electronic voting machines will be randomly selected. The court said this practice will ensure the “greatest degree of accuracy, satisfaction” in the election process.
