Attack on Tanzanian woman shows the kind of society we are a part of
News Nation Bureau 05 February 2016, 09:17 AM
A Tanzanian woman student was allegedly beaten up and stripped by a mob in a case of “mistaken identity†after a woman was mowed down by a car. Five persons have been arrested so far. Sushma Swaraj described the incident as a “shameful†and spoken to Siddaramaiah, seeking stringent punishment for the guilty. Now the question is- what kind of society do we exist in? What laws govern us? What mind sets do we posses that allow us to strip a girl in public and beat her up brutally?
