China: World's longest bridge's part break away in sea
A part of China’s dream project — world’s longest bridge in sea — has come under threat after reports claims that the multi-billion dollar bridge has started drifting. However, Chinese authorities have denied the fact. The bridge is 34-mile-long and it will connect Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China, alongside an undersea tunnel, new roads and artificial islands. The construction of the world's longest sea bridge is almost complete. It is set to open later this later year. According to reports, 420,000 tonnes of steel has been used to make the bridge. The bridges total length is 55 kilometers. The bridge's total length is 55 kilometres (34 miles) making it 14 miles longer than the distance from Dover to Calais. Since the construction work of the bridge was initiated, seven workers were killed and at least 130 were injured in various accidents.
