India Bole: India has just 151 police personnel per lakh population
Crime-riddled Delhi and several other parts in our country are grappling with a severe shortage of police personnel leading to severe pressure on the overburdened men in khakis. The latest report released by the Ministry of Home Affairs shows that for every one lakh population in India, there are only 151 police personnel, half of the United Nations (UN) recommended police-public ratio of 222. A large number of police personnel have been deployed for the VIP security across India while a very few are available to serve for the common people. The increasing number of atrocities in the national capital has raised serious questions about the way the Police function. Watch News Nation's special show India Bole to know more details regarding the same.
