India Bole: Social media rumours lead to growing instances of mob lynching; Here is how to stop

India has witnessed a surge in instances of mob lynching over social media rumours and hoaxes in the last few years. As per the latest report, released a few days back, as many as 29 cases of mob lynching took place due to fake pieces of news on different social media platforms in the last four months. While the Centre has assured strict action against people spreading socially-sensitive fake news and videos, social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp have been also asked to add some security in order to eradicate such dreadful cases of lynching in near future.
