India Bole: Supreme Punch on Literacy In Haryana

Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a Haryana State law which mandated that only those having “minimum†educational qualifications will be eligible to contest panchayat elections in Haryana. Now the question arises that in a state like Haryana, where the literacy rate is way too low already, how apt is to impose such a law?
