Nation View: Extortion racket in Tihar, Militant attack in Kathua

Police claimed to have busted an extortion racket which was being run from high security Tihar jail here, following the arrest of Naveen alias Bali -- a close aide of dreaded criminal Neeraj Bawania – and his three associates. Two militants in Army fatigues stormed a police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district early today, killing three security personnel and two civilians and leaving 10 others, including a senior police officer injured,in the first major terror attack in the state since the PDP-BJP coalition government took charge this month.
