Nation View: UP Police and NIA unearth demonetised notes worth Rs 96.62 crore from Kanpur

National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Uttar Pradesh Police in a joint raid conducted in Kanpur uncovered old currency notes worth Rs 96.62 crore. Narendra Modi led central government had banned the high-value notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 on November 8, 2016. This is not the first time that demonetised notes have been recovered by NIA.
