Vijay Shankar suffers injury, to miss match against Afghanistan
News Nation Bureau 20 June 2019, 06:58 PM
The Indian team is only the second team in the World Cup 2019 to stay unbeaten after the table-toppers New Zealand. However, the all-rounder Vijay Shankar is the latest to suffer an injury scare in the Indian camp after being hit on toe on Wednesday during a training session and was forced to skip Thursday's session. During Wednesday's training, a Jasprit Bumrah yorker hit Shankar flush on his toes and he was apparently in pain. He may miss the clash against Afghanistan.
