Indian Army’s Assam Rifles regiment soldiers involved in rescue operations in the rain-affected Pithoragarh district on Saturday pulled out a woman alive from under the debris of her house where she was buried for almost two days."The lady was stuck in the debris of her home in Bastadi village in Pithoragarh. After a long rescue operation, Army jawans pulled her out alive safely. She was taken to the hospital for treatment," said RS Rana, district management officer, Pithoragarh.
A video showing jawans pulling out an elderly woman safely amidst loud cheers of onlookers has gone viral on the social media. Till late Sunday evening, the video which was also posted on Indian Army’s Facebook page receive 2,13,000 views.
