Haryana Health and Sports Minister Anil Vij has announced Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik as the brand ambassador for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign in the state.
Wrestler Sakshi Malik came back to India on Wednesday after making the country proud with her performance at Rio Olympics 2016.
Malik’s flight landed at the Indira Gandhi International airport at around 3:50 am. To welcome the wrestler there were as many as five BJP ministers from Haryana including Kavita Jain, Rao Narbir Singh, Manish Grover and Vipul Goel, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs Department of State.
For her historic achievement, Sakshi will be felicitated with a cash prize of Rs 2.5 crore by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The felicitation will took place in her village Rohtak where CM Khattar will meet her. The wrestler took to Twitter to express her joy of coming back home after Olympics stint.
