Taking cognizence in the dowry case against actor Nawazuddin Siddhiqi and his family Police has inititated arbitration for resloving the disupute internally.
Afrin, wife of Minazuddin, brother of Nawazuddin, on September 30 had alleged that her husband, brothers-in-law Nawazuddin, Faizuddin, Majuddin and sister-in-law Saima were harassing her for dowry, while the actor has denied the allegation saying she has done it for publicity.

SSP Deepak Kumar in the matter said, "The matter has been reffered for mediation and both the parties have been asked to appear in women police station for resolving the dispute. If both the parties fail to resolve the dispute then police will take legal action."
The 42-year-old film actor, who has come under the scrutiny for reportedly harassing his younger brother's wife on September 28, claimed she has deliberately charged him with the allegations because he appeared to be a "soft target" to her.
