An ABVP worker reportedly threw ink on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Bikaner on Tuesday. According to reports, the AAP chief was attacked with ink for his alleged remarks on Indian Army’s surgical strike carried out across LoC in response to Uri attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Police has taken some people into custody over the incident, reports said.
Arvind Kejriwal reacted to the ink attack and said: "God bless those who threw ink at me, I wish them well."
Earlier on Tuesday, Kejriwal defended his statements on the surgical strikes after the BJP lashed out at him and protests were held against him.
Kejriwal took it to Twitter to clarify that he asked for proofs only to counter Pakistan’s propaganda of denial of the surgical strikes.
“BJP, I m convinced that strikes took place. But intl media publishing Pak propaganda that no strike took place. Lets expose Pak propaganda,” Kejriwal tweeted.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had attacked Kejriwal. He had said that the AAP leader should not fall prey to Pakistan's false propaganda. He also told him not to question the valour of the armed forces.
"Arvind Kejriwal ji, you are now in the headlines in Pakistan. They are saying an Indian leader, that too a Chief Minister, is asking questions of the operations and preparations of the Indian Army," Ravi Shankar Prasad had said.
