Indian Air Force Chief Arup Raha on Saturday observed that attack on Pathankot airbase is a stark reminder of the times we live in. He was speaking the Indian Air Force Day celebrations at the Hindon air base near New Delhi. Army Chief Dalbir Singh and Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, honourary group captain of Indian Air Force, are also present at the event. 

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee congratulated Indian Air Force on the 84th foundation day. 

India is celebrating 84th foundation day of Indian Air Force on Saturday. This year, the commemorative annual Air Show at Hindon air base near New Delhi is slated to be extra special as coveted fighter jet Tejas is going to make its first flypast to a captivated audience. 

The LCA Tejas developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, an Indian single-seat, single-jet engine, multi-role light fighter designed by the Aeronautical Development Agency for the Indian Air Force and Navy made its debut today.
