All eight SIMI terrorists who fled from Bhopal Central jail on Monday have been killed in a police encounter in Eintkhedi village on Bhopal outskirts, reports said. 

Earlier on Monday morning, eight activists of the banned SIMI escaped from the Bhopal Central Jail by killing a security guard and scaling the prison wall with the help of bed sheets.

“Eight SIMI activists escaped around 2-3 AM by killing a jail security guard,” DIG Bhopal Raman Singh told PTI.

The Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activists also killed a jail security guard and later scaled the jail walls with the help of bed sheets, he said.

They killed the guard by slitting his throat with steel plate and glass after overpowering him, the DIG said.

Further details are awaited, he said, adding that a hunt has been launched to nab them.

#A country-wide alert has been sounded after 8 operatives of the banned terrorist organisation Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) fled from Bhopal jail after killing the guard. They have been termed dangerous.

#Tihar jail's security has also been beefed up and operatives of terrorist organiations like Indian Mujahideen, SIMI, Lashkar and others have been brought under watch.All bus stands and railway stations have been brought under vigil in Delhi and MP.

#Police in plain clothes have been deployedTheir latest photogrpahs have been circulated amongst law enforcement agencies.

#8 SIMI terrorists flee from Bhopal Central Jail: 5 jail officials suspended says Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh

#The names of the escaped prisoners are: 1) Abu Faisal 2) Amjad Ramzan Khan 3) Zakir Hussain 4) Mehboob Shaikh 5) Mohammmad Salek 6) Aqeel Khilji 7) Khalid Mucchale of Solapur.

#Abu Faizal, Amjad, Zakir, Mehboob, Ejaz and Aslam Ayub had originally escaped Khandwa prison in 2013. Abu Faisal was arrested in few days after the escape in Khargone MP. Later, Ejaz and Ayub were killed on 4 April 2015 in Nalgonda encounter.

#On Feb 2016 rest of the orginal escapees Amjad, Zakir, Mehboob and Salek were arrested from Rourkela, Odisha.

#Khalid Mucchale, a SIMI member, had helped shelter Abu Faisal during Khandwa jail break. Akeel Khilji is the founding member and a staunch radical of the Khandwa SIMI module.
