Vishakhapatnam:

India have won the toss and opted to bat first. Two changes in the Indian side as Jayant Yadav replaces Amit Mishra as they have a few left-handers and KL Rahul back for Gambhir whereas Anderson comes back for the visitors.

With the venue set to host its first international Test, ACA secretary Gokaraju Gangaraju was hopeful that the wicket will lead to a competitive Test match. England could include leading wicket-taker James Anderson, who has recovered from a shoulder injury, while India are also set to make changes.

Opener Lokesh Rahul was added to the squad on Tuesday after proving his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained batting against New Zealand last month by scoring a century in a domestic fixture on Monday.

Live Cricket Score: India vs England, 2nd Test, Day 1

Teams:

England (Playing XI): Alastair Cook(c), Haseeb Hameed, Joe Root, Ben Duckett, Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow(w), Zafar Ansari, Adil Rashid, Stuart Broad, James Anderson

India (Playing XI): Murali Vijay, Lokesh Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli(c), Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Wriddhiman Saha(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Jayant Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami

Cook won the toss in Rajkot, and India dropping crucial early chances on a good batting pitch, all added up for the visitors to start the tour off on a confident note, considering the fact India just comes from test series victory against Kiwi.

India was far from outplayed in the first Test, but there were times in the game when the home spinners were outperformed by their less experienced English counterparts.

The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) announced free entry for fans on the opening day of the second Test between India and England and if all goes well gates will be open for all on all days.
