The mutilation of a dead soldier's body by militants along the Line of Control (LoC) sparked outrage on Tuesday, with his family demanding befitting reply to Pakistan.
The remains of rifleman Prabhu Singh will be brought to his hometown in Jodhpur on Wednesday.
"I lost my only son to the nation, India should give a befitting reply to Pakistan," said Prabhu Singh's grief-stricken father in Lohagarh village.

In a cross-LoC attack by suspected Pakistani terrorists, three Indian soldiers were on Tuesday killed, with body of one of them being mutilated in second such incident in less than a month, triggering outrage in the country.
The ambush on army patrol took place in Machhil sector of Kashmir, following which the Indian army vowed heavy “retribution”.
