New Delhi:

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee hit out at Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar for not backing her campaign against the Centre’s demonetisation move.

“Gaddari karne walon ko nahin chhodenge,” Mamata said at a dharna in Patna without naming Kumar directly.

“Hum kisi ka naam nahin lenge. Yeh janata ki baat hai”, she added. Describing the centre’s demonetisation as Super Emergency Banerjee said: “We have lost our freedom 69 years after Independence.”

Mamata arrived in the state capital on Tuesday, met RJD chief Lalu Prasad at his residence.

However, ruling JD(U) has made it clear that it would not be present at Banerjee's agitation programme in the light of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's support to demonetisation.
