Announcing a brand new Happy New Year offer for the customers, Reliance Jio Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Thursday extended the benefits of the existing Welcome Offer. The Reliance Jio Happy New Year plan will offer a Fair Usage Police or FUP which will cap data at around 1 GB per day.
While making the announcement, Mukesh Ambani also hailed as 'bold and historic' Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to demonetise old Rs 500 and 1,000 currency notes in Government's biggest crackdown on black money.
"I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's bold and historic decision to demonetize old currency. By doing this, our PM Modi has given the strongest push to growth of digitally-enabled, optimal-cash economy in India," said Mukesh Ambani.
"By introducing DeMonetisation our PM has given us a cashless optimal economy, everybody has a digital ATM in hand now," he said.
"Digitally-enabling transactions will boost economic growth while bringing unprecedented transparency and accountability," he added.
"I believe that common people will be the biggest beneficiaries of this change," he said.

The Reliance Jio Happy New Year offer will be available for free to all customers till March 31, 2017.
The original Jio Welcome Offer offers customers unlimited voice calling, text messages and data for free.
