Supreme Court orders BCCI  to release Rs 1.33 crores for remaining Test matches

New Delhi:

Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of India TS Thakur has ordered to release Rs 1 crore and 33 lakhs for third and fourth test match between India and England. The order comes in wake of two cricket test matches to be played in Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium and other one in Chennai.

Supreme Court has also asked to release Rs 25 lakhs each for the three ODIs and three t20 matches.

BCCI counsel Kapil Sibal moved the apex court on Wednesday seeking a grant of Rs 1.33 crore for the upcoming Test matches in Mumbai (December 9-13) and Chennai (December 16-20).
