Paris:
Portugese star Cristiano Ronaldo has won his fourth Ballon d’Or after a prolific season with the club and national team. He won Euro 2016 with Portugal and La Undecima(Champions League) with Spanish heavywieghts Real Madrid.
His prolific performance overshadowed the likes of Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann to win the respected award. Earlier the Galactico had won this prestigious award in 2008, 2013 and 2014.
Messi who finished second this time, holds the record of lifting the biggest individual award for record five times. Ronaldo is now one short of his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi’s record tally of five. Atlético Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann came third.
