The Congress on Wednesday released the list of star campaigners for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections. The star campaigners list of Congress includes interim president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former PM Manmohan Singh. In the list 40 star campaigners, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Shashi Tharoor, Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Shatrughan Sinha have found the spot.
ANI posted an image of the Congress’ star campaigners list and said, “Congress has released list of party's star campaigners for #DelhiElections2020. This comes two days after the grand old party released a list of seven candidates for the Delhi Assembly polls, fielding Romesh Sabharwal against Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency. It is to be noted that Romesh Sabharwal’s name, who is a former NSUI head of Delhi, was missing the party ticket for the past several years.
On January 18, Congress released first list of candidates that included 54 members. Of the 54 nominees, 33 are making their debut in the Assembly elections. Four Muslim candidates also figured in the list.
The Delhi Assembly election 2020 will be held on February 8, 2020. Whereas, the results will be announced on February 11. The term of the current Assembly elected in 2015 will expire on 22 February 2020. It will be a three-cornered contest this time between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the BJP and the Congress.

In 2015, the AAP won a thumping majority in the stated with winning 67 of 70 assembly seats, with Arvind Kejriwal becoming Chief Minister for the second time. The remaining three seats namely Rohini, Vishwas Nagar, and Mustafabad were won by the BJP.
