Ahead of the Assembly elections slated for next week in Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president JP Nadda will hold rallies on Sunday. Moreover, UP CM Yogi Adityanath will also address a couple of public gatherings in Delhi. On the other hand, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to hold roadshows in Kirari, Mundka, Vishwas Nagar, Laxmi Nagar and Rithala.
Speaking at a rally on Sarurday, Yogi Adityanath had alleged that the AAP government "supplies biryani" to the protesters. He also alleged that those who supported terrorists in Kashmir were staging protest in Shaheen Bagh and raising slogans of 'azadi'.
Kejriwal, on the other hand, hit out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah after a man fired two rounds in air in the Shaheen Bagh area in Jamia Nagar on Sturday, where an anti-CAA protest is underway.
“Amit Shah ji, what have you turned Delhi to? Bullets are being fired in broad daylight. Law and order situation is destroyed openly. Elections will keep come and go, but for the sake of the people of Delhi, please pay attention to the law and order situation,” Kejriwal had tweeted.
According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, the voting will take place in a single phase for 70 assembly seats in Delhi on February 8 and counting of votes shall take place on February 11.
