Live Delhi Election 2020 Result/Coverage: Elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly that were held on Saturday saw a 62.59 percent voter turnout. The counting of the votes polled began from 8 am today. Exit polls on Saturday predicted an easy win for the AAP against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. The India Today-Axis My India exit poll results for South Delhi have predicted 9-10 seats to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and 0-1 seats to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Congress may not bag even a single constituency in South Delhi.
The seat was a stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party for many years but in 2009, after delimitation, INC won this seat. As of 2014, Ramesh Bidhuri of the BJP is the MP representing the constituency.
South Delhi constituency consists of 10 Assembly segments:
Ambedkar Nagar, Sangam Vihar, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Badarpur, Mehrauli, Palam, Chhatarpur, Bijwasan, Deoli.
