New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will on Monday file his nomination from the New Delhi assembly seat. The nomination on Monday will also see a show of strength with the chief minister holding a mega roadshow after seeking the blessings of Bhagwan Valmiki at the historic Valmiki Mandir. The roadshow is expected to start at around 10 am. The AAP leader will file his nomination at the SDM office in Jamnagar House. "I will file my nomination tomorrow. I will feel very good if you come to bless me," Kejriwal said in a tweet.

“The roadshow will go to Connaught Place via Panchkuian Marg into the Inner Circle and then towards the Outer Circle on to Baba Kharak Singh Marg. It will end near the Patel Chowk Metro station,” the AAP said in a statement.

Ahead of filing his nominations, Kejriwal released ‘Guarantee Card' and promised 24-hour pure piped drinking water to each house in the next five years and free public travel for students along with continuing the ongoing subsidy on electricity ad water. He also assured parents that as long as his "honest government" is in power in the national capital, no private school will be allowed to arbitrarily increase fees.

The card, "10 guarantees of Kejriwal", also promises to continue the scheme for free electricity up to 200 units, free health facilities, to plant two crore saplings, clean Yamuna river and reduce pollution in Delhi over the next five years.

The AAP is the only party which has announced the name of candidates for all the seats. Interestingly, neither Congress nor BJP has declared its candidate against Kejriwal who is contesting from the New Delhi Assembly constituency. Polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on February 8. The scrutiny will be held on January 22 while withdrawals of candidature will be allowed till January 24.
