New Delhi:

The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress has thrown its weight behind the Aam Admi Party for the Delhi polls, with its national spokesperson Derek O' Brien uploading a video endorsing not just Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal but all AAP candidates. "Vote for @AamAadmiParty, Vote for the candidate from Rajendra Nagar constituency @raghav_chadha, vote for @ArvindKejriwal and all AAP candidates in Delhi (sic)," O' Brien tweeted.

The battle is set for the control of Delhi legislative assembly with all major parties having decided their candidates for the February 8 polls. There are around one crore 47 lakh voters in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was the first to declare candidates on all 70 seats. However, they have some problems of their own after dropping 16 sitting MLAs.

BJP has forged an alliance with JDU and LJP in Delhi and decided to give three seats to them with JDU contesting on two seats and LJP on one.

Congress is contesting on 66 seats with ally RJD fighting on four.

While the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party is vying for the second term, the BJP and the Congress will try to change the game.

Arvind Kejriwal on BJP leader calling him a terrorist

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he faced many difficulties to help people and in return the BJP has called him a "terrorist". Tagging a media report according to which BJP MP Parvesh Verma had allegedly called him a terrorist, Kejriwal said he has been working day and night towards the welfare of people. Verma created controversy with his remarks over the anti-CAA protest at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi last week.

"Gave up everything for the people of Delhi. After joining politics, I faced many difficulties so that the life of the people could improve. Today in return, the Bharatiya Janata Party is calling me a terrorist ... It is very sad," he said in a tweet.
