Gujarat polls 2017: Prime Minister Modi to address rally in Bharuch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed a poll rally in Bharuch. He would also address election rallies in Surendra Nagar and Rajkot  later in the day.

#Bharuch and Kutch are districts with significant Muslim populations. And, if you see the districts which developed rapidly under the BJP tenure in Gujarat, the names of these two districts figure prominently: PM Modi

#In UP, where Congress ruled for decades, the state from where generations of top Congress leaders belong. We saw what happened there in the local elections. Congress was wiped out. UP knows the Congress well and so does Gujarat: PM Modi  

The state will go to polls in two phases on December 9 and December 14. The counting of votes will take place on December 18.  

The first phase will be held in 89 of the 182 seats and will cover 19 of 33 districts.

The prime minister will reach Ahmedabad in evening and would participate in a programme of Swami Naryan Gurukul.

All voters in Gujarat will be able to see their votes cast through Voter-Verified Paper Trail Audit (VVPAT) machines, which will be installed along with electronic voting machines.
