Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Sunday hit out at the Congress and the party’s vice president Rahul Gandhi for having relationship with people having alleged links with anti-national groups.

The BJP president, during a press conference in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar claimed that dalit leader Jignesh Mewani allegedly accepted money from Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Congress vice president is promoting a person having alleged links with anti-nationals.

Shah said, “Mewani’s pictures of accepting money from PFI has gone viral. PFI is indulged in anti-national activities.”

He added, “Rahul Gandhi meets such a person who has relations with an anti-national outfit.”

The BJP president also claimed that Congress knew about Mewani’s link with PFI. Shah said, “Congress knew Mewani’s link with PFI so they did not give him a ticket instead are supporting him from outside.”
