New Delhi :

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fearful of the massive response that the Congress is getting in the poll bound Gujarat under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, said NCP chief Sharad Pawar.

A rattled BJP is raking up old issues like Bofors to defame the Gandhi family, said Pawar while interacting with party workers at Chandrapur in east Maharashtra..

Now, neither Rajiv Gandhi nor the Italian who was involved are alive. The Centre's attempt to reopen the case will backfire at the BJP.
This is because the government is scared of Rahul Gandhi and they want to defame late Rajiv Gandhi," he said.

Praising the former prime minister, Pawar said Rajiv Gandhi was a visionary leader. "The nation developed because of his vision. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi used their power to eradicate poverty," the NCP chief said.
