As BJP crossed the halfway mark in early trends projected by Election Commission in both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, a wave of ‘saffron’ joy engulfed the party headquarters in different parts of the country.
The emotions on the faces of party workers exhibited a sense of victory as they thronged the streets dancing on loud music, chanting Modi-Modi and waving saffron flag.
The Dhoklas, Khakhras and other Gujarati snacks were distributed in BJP office in Madhya Pradesh. MP CM Shivraj Singh also joined celebrations.

On the other hand, Congress office in Ahmedabad had a deserted look after trends started indicating a clear BJP victory in Modi’s home state.

Scores of BJP workers wearing saffron caps reached party headquarters in Delhi, and the lotus flag seemed to be in full blooms.

Similar scenes were seen in Himachal Pradesh after BJP crossed halfway mark and looked well set to return to power.
In Shimla, ecstatic BJP workers burst fire crackers and distributed sweets outside party office.

PM Modi, who reached Parliament ahead of winter session flashed victory sign as he came out of his car.
According to the Election Commission Official trends, BJP was leading on 101 seats while Congress was ahead on 74 seats in Gujarat.
In Himachal, the Bhartiya Janta Party was leading in 45 seats while Congress was up in only 20 seats. The only setback for BJP in Himachal Pradesh was its CM candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal who lost his seat from Sujanpur to Congress candidate Rajinder Rana.
