Gujarat polls: Modi's unique sea route, Rahul Gandhi's presser on last day of campaigning

The politics in Gujarat has taken another turn with PM Modi and his predecessor Manmohan Singh crossing swords over former’s allegations that Congress is conspiring with Pakistan to prevent BJP from winning election in his home state.

Reacting to Modi’s remark, former PM launched counter attack against his successor and said, fearing eminent defeat in Gujarat, PM is making false “innuendoes.”

On Tuesday, both Modi and newly elected Congress President Rahul Gandhi are expected to take the fight even further when they address number of rallies on the last day of election campaign ahead of the second round of voting.

After being denied the permission to hold a road show in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel from Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad to Dharoi Dam via sea plane.

He shall also visit Ambaji temple and offer prayers.

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi will hold his first presser after being elected as Congress President in Ahmedabad today at 1 PM.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday also fired his 14th at PM Modi as part of his "one-question-a-day" series, and asked him to explain why Dalits were ignored under 22 years of BJP rule.

The voting for the first phase of assembly polls in Gujarat was held on December 9 and the second round of voting will be held on December 14.
