Elections in the Hill State were held on November 9 for 68 seats. The counting will be carried out on December 18.
While the Himachal Pradesh BJP has expressed confidence of winning at least 50 seats the incumbent Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has said that he is confident that Congress party will be victorious with full majority in elections.
“We discussed the post-poll situation after getting the feedback from the field and also the reports of undercutting in some places but reached the conclusion that party would form a stable government and win more than 50 seats in the 68-member house,” Himachal Pradesh BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti said.
Virbhadra Singh said, “I am confident of getting the majority in the election and the next Government too will be of Congress.”
