Both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) have left no stone unturned to win the Karnataka Assembly elections, which will be conducted on May 12. While the BJP is banking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading the election campaign, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is leading from the front and addressing several rallies.
Rahul on Friday will conclude the eighth leg of his election campaign in the coastal state by addressing rallies in Kalburgi, Gadag and Haveri districts.
With just a week to go for the elections, political parties are pulling all stops to connect with the voters.
BJP CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar and other leaders launched the party manifesto for the assembly elections. Yeddyurappa promised to bring back the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation Bill 2012 if BJP wins the elections.
