While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified its campaign across Karnataka ahead of the state Assembly Elections on May 12, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with the Karnataka BJP's Yuva Morcha workers via the Narendra Modi (NaMo) app.
Addressing the party workers, Modi said the violence by any political party should not be supported in any form in a democracy. He also urged the youth workers to debate instead and not "act in vengeance even when they have lost their several karyakartas in political violence".
"My young Karyakarta friends are anguished by the culture of political violence, that is integral to some parties opposed to us. In Karnataka itself, young BJP Karyakartas lost their lives while the state government did nothing. There is no place for such politics in our nation!," Modi was quoted while addressing the youth.

Talking about the scientific development in India Modi said, "India’s demographic dividend and highlighted efforts like the Atal Innovation Mission are furthering a spirit of research as well as scientific temper among young minds."
"I am often fascinated by the manner in which today’s youth acquaints itself with latest technology. Sadly, the Congress is opposed to all forms of technological innovations. Such a party can never be the voice for the youth of 21st century India," he added.

"The Central Government’s emphasis on the personal sector and the unprecedented creation of next-generation infrastructure is going to benefit our youngsters the most. We are committed to facilitating the right environment for our youth to prosper," Modi said.
On May 5, Modi took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "On Monday, 7th May, at 9 AM I look forward to an interaction with @BJP4Karnataka Yuva Morcha Karyakartas via the NaMo App. Our young and energetic Karyakartas are doing commendable work at the grassroots level and popularising the good work of the Central Government among people."

Earlier in the month, PM Modi interacted with Kisan Morcha workers of BJP's state unit, via the NaMo App, and boosted their morale.

On a related note, the prime minister started a series of election rallies in the poll-bound Karnatka on May 1 and held three rallies on the first day alone.
Karnataka will elect its representatives for the 225-member assembly on May 12. The results are scheduled to be declared on May 15.
Meanwhile, BJP chief Amit Shah is scheduled to address public meetings in four constituencies all over the day.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi will also kickstart Congress's election rallies as part of the ninth leg of his campaign 'Jan Aashirwada Yatra'. He will lead a protest march on Monday against the rising petrol prices across India.
