Hours after the Congress released its manifesto for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections 2018, BJP leader and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dismissed it, saying the grand old party "never fulfil their promises". Launching a blistering attack on the Rahul Gandhi-led party Chouhan said it was the Narendra Modi government which fulfilled all those promises made by the Gandhi family for years.

"Even Indira Gandhi Ji and Rajiv Gandhi Ji had promised to remove poverty but did not do it," the chief minister added.

The Madhya Pradesh CM was addressing a public meeting, which was organised in support of BJP candidate Narendra Maravi at Damehadi village of Pushparajgarh assembly constituency in Anuppur district.

In reference to a new Congress advertisement - 'Gussa Aata Hain' for the upcoming Assembly Elections 2018, the BJP leader claimed the citizens are not annoyed, it is the people in the Congress who are angry with the BJP government because we worked for the welfare of the people, gave the farmer plenty of water, electricity and reasonable prices.

Yes! the Congress is angry because we worked for the empowerment of women, helped the poor, increased the income by creating jobs for the youth of the nation, Chouhan went on to claim further.

"During the Congress tenure there were no pilgrimage plans for the senior citizens but I have made such schemes for the elderly people in the country," he added.
