The Bharatiya Janata Party legislator on Sunday held a meeting in Mumbai and discussed a strategy to comfortably pass our floor test in the Maharashtra Assembly. The legislatures also passed a resolution congratulating Devendra Fadnavis on taking oath as Chief Minister. “In this meeting, we discussed & decided the strategy to comfortably pass our floor test. We also passed a resolution congratulating Devendra Fadnavis on taking oath as Chief Minister,” Ashish Shelar said after the meeting. Shelar said that all the party MLAs were present in the meeting and another meeting of independent MLAs who are willing to support the BJP will be held soon.

“In today's meeting all expected MLAs were present, a meeting of those independent MLAs who are supporting us will be held at a different place,” he said while addressing media persons after the meeting.

“The Shiv Sena committed the sin of abandoning Bal Thackeray’s thoughts of aligning with the BJP,” he said.

The meeting of Maharashtra BJP MLAs was attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP chief Chandrakant Patil and Union minister Raosaheb Danve are among those present. The meeting was held at the Mumbai BJP office Vasant Smriti in Dadar.
