Video | Mobs vandalise Health Minister’s residence in Manipur; Police fires tear gas

Manipur Health Minister Phunjaothang’s residence was attacked by a mob in Churachandpur on Tuesday. Health Minister’s house was attacked in retaliation to manhandling of opposition supporters by Phunjaothang’s men during the Assembly polls which were held on March 4.

The situation in the city of Churachandpur is tensed after the mob attack on Manipur Health Minister’s residence. The police have been using tear gas shells to contain angry mob.

Earlier in 2015, nine tribal youths had died during a violent agitation against the Manipur state government in Churachandpur in 2015.
