The opposition SKM won five Assembly seat and is leading in four other constituencies while the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front is ahead in five as per the data available on Election Commission of India's website.

Sikkim set to elect 8th Legislative Assembly
These are the eighth Legislative Assembly elections in Sikkim, probably India's first poverty free state. Assembly polls in Sikkim were held on April 11. The state has one Lok Sabha seat and 32 Assembly seats.
