Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is likely to spend uninterrupted 30 days in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming 2017 state assembly elections. In a big to connect with grassroots workers and voters in the state Rahul will take this lead.

If party sources are to be believed Rahul will begin his UP tour within next 10 days in Deoria. His tour primarily aims at highlighting the need to help farmers and accuse other governments of failing them.

Congress has already declared Sheila Dikshit, 78, as its presumptive chief minister. Though it remains unclear how Gandhi will conduct his tour.

The ruling Samajwadi Party is is hoping that incumbent Akhilesh Yadav will again come in power. On the other hand, BSP supremo Mayawati is playing the Dalit card and asking for another shot as head of the state.
