Hero MotoCorp unveiled its newest flagship in two-wheeler series, the Hero Xtreme 200R, before the Auto Expo 2018.
The model is said to be one of the showstoppers at the Hero pavilion in the 14th edition of the Auto Expo, which will start from February 9 until February 14.
The new 200 cc motorcycle is an important bike for the pre-dominant commuter manufacturer and is the first step of the company into the world of premium offerings. The two-wheeler, which is expected to be launched in April in the country, is said to be priced around Rs 1 Lakh.
The features of the Hero Xtreme 200R are somewhat similar to the Xtreme 200S. The bike gets a conventional design with a muscular fuel tank with extensions and split grab rails. The Xtreme 200R gets a step-up single seat and alloy wheels.

The headlamp cluster of the Xtreme 200R is equipped with LED position lamps and the taillight too, gets the LED element. The instrument cluster of the bike is an analog-digital unit, while the console gets a large tachometer on the left with a digital display on the right and a blue backlight.

The Anti-Lock Braking System, Neutral, battery and other elements are located over the LCD display.
The bike gets a tall handlebar for an upright riding position while there are knee grips around the fuel tank.
Powered by a 199.6 cc, air-cooled engine, the Xtreme 200R comes with a single-cylinder unit which produces 18 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 17 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The motor is paired to a 5-speed gearbox and gets new balancer shafts to reduce vibrations. The company claims that the Xtreme 200R can return a fuel efficiency of nearly 40 kmpl.
The suspension duties on the bike include 37 mm telescopic forks in the front with 8-speed adjustable monoshock setup at the rear end.
Hero MotoCorp will be announcing the exact prices for the bike in April this year and the deliveries will begin from mid-2018.
