Bajaj Auto on Saturday launched the all-new Avenger Street 160 ABS in India at Rs 82,253 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Avenger Street 160 ABS has been made available in two colours i.e Spicy Red and Ebony Black. It is to be noted that the Street 160 is the smallest capacity cruiser from Bajaj's Avenger series of motorcycles.
Importantly, the Avenger 160 has started arriving at dealerships. It gets a new 160.4 cc engine that makes 15 PS and 13.5 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gear box. The braking duties are taken care of by 260mm disc in the front and a 130mm drum in the rear.

The Avenger 160 gets similar styling as the Avenger Street 180 and a cruiser like low-slung stance. The bike gets a ground clearance of 177mm and the rider seat height is at 730mm. The Avenger Street 160 features single-channel ABS and also replaces the Avenger 180 that cost nearly Rs 6,000 more at Rs 88,077.

Avenger Street 160 with ABS provides contemporary styling whilst retaining its classical roadster design. The discerning customer gets a definite step-up into the world of classic biking. This will open up choices to the entry-level sports customers.”
The Avenger Street 160 will primarily compete with the Suzuki Intruder 155 cruiser. Interestingly, Bajaj Auto is looking to grab a larger chunk of the market share in the 150-250 cc sports segment.
Bajaj Avenger 180 was launched in the year 2005.
