Bajaj Auto has recently unveiled the Chetak electric scooter in India. It is the automaker’s first electric scooter for the Indian market. Bajaj Chetak electric scooter will be launched in January 2020 and it will be sold in Pune and Bengaluru from the existing Probiking network with KTM. Here are specifications and pricing details before that will help you decide whether to purchase the scooter.
Bajaj Chetak: Motor & battery
Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is powered by an IP67 rated high-tech Lithium-Ion battery with NCA cells, which can be charged using a standard 5-15 amp electrical outlet.
Bajaj Chetak: Range
The scooter comes with 2 driving modes - Eco and Sport, along with a reverse assist mode. While the Eco mode will have a range of 95 km, the Sport mode will be good for 85 km.
Bajaj Chetak: Specifications
There will be a tubular single-sided suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear in Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. It will come with a single-sided cast aluminium swingarm. The new Chetak will have 12-inch wheels with a disc up front and a drum at the rear. The electric scooter will get a regenerative braking system as well.
Bajaj Chetak: Features
The Chetak will also be a fully-connected and will be embedded with mobility solutions like data communication, security and user authentication. It will come in an all-metal body with as many as six colour options and features like digital console, horseshoe-shaped LED headlight with DRLs and sequential scrolling LED blinkers. The new Bajaj Chetak will be the first to many electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers to be introduced under the Urbanite brand.

Bajaj Chetak price
It is expected that the new Chetak electric scooter will be available in the price range of Rs 90,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh.
